  1. Check out our PROBLEM STARTERS and select a Challenge topic

  2. REGISTER YOUR TEAM for the KATU Innovation Challenge (by March 15th)

  3. Review the OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

  4. Review the SUBMISSION FORM to see what you will be submitting and the JUDGING CRITERIA to see how you will be evaluated. Download Judging Criteria HERE.

  5. Watch our innovation process instructional videos and come to our coaching sessions to get some extra support in the steps of the innovation process

  6. Download a copy of the CHALLENGE WORKBOOK to use (you may find it helpful!) to develop your final submission responses before submitting

  7. When you're ready, fill out a FINAL SUBMISSION FORM with your team. Copy and paste from your workbook if you used one. - Submissions are due by 11:59pm on April 8th.

  8. Congrats, you did it! All participating teams will be notified of the finalists selection on April 15th

  9. Finalists will work with our Construct Coach to prepare final pitches for our Pitchfest competition on May 5th

  10. Winners will be announced and showcased during Oregon STEM week and in a KATU news special on May 13th!

 

1:1 Coaching Sessions with Coach Erin Bray

Construct’s Coach, Erin Bray, will be offering 1:1 coaching sessions for registered student teams from Feb. 28th through April 4th. Each team can sign up for up to 2 coaching sessions. We will send you a coaching sign up link in your registration email, if you have any questions, please contact erin@constructlearns.org.

We will also be offering (1) Industry Advisor feedback session to registered teams who sign up for a session, where industry professionals will offer their input on how to make your submission more competitive. Sign up for this session will be included in emails to all registered student teams.

*(1) Industry advisor feedback session will also be available for Finalists in order to prep for the May 5th Pitchday.
